Biography
Jayson Barniske is the founder of AYT and has been practicing and teaching Ashtanga Yoga for twenty years. Guided to the practice as a world-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor, Jayson studied yoga in Encinitas California with Tim Miller, the first westerner certified to teach Ashtanga Yoga by Patthabi Jois.
Today he lives and teaches in Tulum Mexico and hopes to impart a little bit of the dust he collected on his journey with his students. Jayson published his first book in 2017, "Ancient Wisdom for Modern Enlightenment".
His message, "Within all of us, is the ability to transform our suffering into a blessing. For me Ashtanga Yoga was the path to personal evolution."
